DESCRIPTION:RSVP HERE \nFor five decades\, SCAN members have explored South Carolina’s landscapes\, documented its natural history\, and shared that knowledge with others. The 50th Anniversary Gala celebrates that remarkable legacy and looks ahead to the next generation of discovery. \nOn Saturday\, July 25\, SCAN members and friends will gather at the South Carolina State Museum for an afternoon of fellowship\, reflection\, and inspiration. Together we’ll honor the legacy of founder Rudy Mancke\, hear a special keynote presentation\, “What It Means To Be a Naturalist: Lessons and Legacy” by Josh Arrants\, and look back at 50 years of natural history discovery across South Carolina. \nThe celebration includes complimentary Museum entry\, exhibits\, historical highlights\, a light dinner custom-themed for SCAN by Scott Hall Catering\, and opportunities to reconnect with fellow naturalists from across the state. \nAgenda: \n\n12pm – 2pm | Museum: Come early and explore the museum at your leisure.
