SUMMARY:Francis Marion National Forest / Hell Hole Swamp
DESCRIPTION:Make plans now for our annual bioblitz weekend in the Francis Marion National Forest! We’ll be joining the crew from the Under a Low Country Moon Interpretive Weekend for camping\, road cruising and snakes\, snakes\, snakes. There might be a few Chuck-will’s-widows in there as well.\n\nThe camping permit has been acquired\, so we’ll be setting up in the usual spot. If you’re not into roughing it\, an alternate plan is to book a hotel in nearby Moncks Corner or Mt. Pleasant.\n\nCamping starts Thursday\, May 26 and wraps up on Monday\, May 30.\n\nOn Saturday\, we’ll meet at 10:30 am at the Awendaw Creek Canoe Launch to explore the Awendaw Passage of the Palmetto Trail.\n\nSunday\, we’re invited to join The Amphibian and Reptile Conservancy\, SC PARC and other groups for the inaugural Rothstein Bioblitz of private property near Echaw Creeek.
