SUMMARY:Greystone Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Greystone Preserve\nAiken County\nRegional Director: Katherine Boyle \nOn Saturday\, March 24\, we will meet at 10:30 AM at the Greystone Preserve\, a Central Savannah River Land Trust property in western Aiken County. The preserve encompasses 262 acres of small creeks and deep valleys in a varied landscape that encapsulates the diversity of the western midlands region. Meandering through the forest are several granite-strewn creeks\, all of which feed the Savannah River\, less than a 1/4 mile downstream. Along the creeks and in surrounding low woods\, we’ll find the federally endangered the Relict Trillium (Trillium reliquum). Look for a veterinary clinic on your right; we will meet directly across the street from the clinic. \nAmenities: There is sheltered picnic area on the preserve. Water is available at the shelter.
